Abstract submission

Three types of abstracts are welcomed: research-, policy-, and practice-related abstracts. The title of the abstract should not exceed 25 words and main text should not exceed 350 words.

Please follow the following outline for research-related abstracts:

  • Introduction: Brief background and the purpose of the abstract.
  • Methods: Describe your selection of measures and experimental subjects clearly.
  • Results: Present your results in a logical sequence.
  • Conclusions: Emphasize new and important aspects of the study and the conclusions that are drawn from them.

Please follow the following outline for policy-related and practice-related abstracts:

  • Introduction: Brief background and the purpose of the abstract.
  • Activities undertaken: Describe undertaken activities clearly.
  • Results: Present results of undertaken activities in a logical sequence.
  • Conclusions: Emphasize the overall impact of undertaken activities and conclusions that are drawn from them.

Authors are free to choose between oral or poster presentation, submitting in one of the following topics:

  1. Physical activity policy
  2. Physical activity interventions in different settings
  3. Modern technology in physical activity promotion
  4. Active transport
  5. Sport and health
  6. Prevalence and determinants of physical activity
  7. Physical activity and health outcomes
  8. Physical activity in children and adolescents
  9. Active ageing
  10. Physical activity in clinical and special populations
  11. Physical activity measurement
  12. Compositional data paradigm in physical activity research
  13. Sedentary behaviour

Deadline for abstract submission on 11 September 2017 at 24:00 (CET)

Abstract submission process

All abstracts should be submitted using the on-line application form. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and all authors will be informed about the acceptance of their submission continuously and at latest by 1 October 2017. Upon review, the Scientific Committee will make recommendations regarding the type of presentation (oral or-poster). Registration fee of the presenting author must be paid by 15 October 2017 at the latest to secure the presentation during the conference and the publication in the Book of Abstracts.
